Aviation touches people in different ways; for some, it is simply about reading a periodic magazine, for others, it is about getting covered in oil or completing a perfect snap roll. The people associated with Yak-Aviation.com and the company Vertical chose aviation for the love of it, a common characteristic amongst people in aviation.

We like to combine aviation with life and culture so to this end, we invite interested parties to come and visit; not just to see our aircraft and meet the people, but to sample the life and culture. Why not take a small vacation and experience the way of life in Eastern Europe, perhaps quite a different life from your own?

If you decide to fly to Borispol, near Kiev, why not begin the journey with a private flight in a Yak 18T from Kiev to Kharkov? The journey takes about 2.5hrs and is a great way to experience Yak 18T's in action and see some of Ukraine in the process. The service is offered with one of our top 18T pilot's and one of our staff and costs approximately $395 for the round trip.

Bring the family for a long weekend and receive an unforgettable experience. One of our excellent guides will accompany you to see the sights and provide you with a historical tour to help you understand the real 'zest' for life.

You will experience the various forms of travel and many traditional culinary delights and the hot nightlife if you are interested? We will of course make time for aviation and take you to meet the team, a scheme designer and any aircraft you have expressed interest in or even some you haven't if you like. We can help organise your accommodation, offering you the opportunity to stay with locals or in an hotel. We can of course adapt the programme to suit your specific needs, especially for those who want a more relaxed and private stay.

In any case, during the course of two or three days, you will learn a lot and see a lot. Whether you find your desired aircraft package or not, we know that you will take something quite valuable home. We charge from $50 to $150 for this service.

Events

We are in the process of organising an 'Aviation Variety Event' where interested people can fly Russian aircraft, experience aerobatics Russian style, parachute drop and experience flight in a glider during a long, exciting and combined weekend of socialising, flying and culture. Please let us know if you or someone you know would be interested. Likely costs for a 2/3-day event, aircraft and technical briefings, a minimum of 5 half-hour flights, 1 glider flight, 1 parachute jump and 3-nights accommodation is $580 per person.

Experience Ukraine

Ukraine has a population of approximately 55 million people and is located in Eastern Europe, and borders to the north with Belarus and Russia and on the south by the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov and in the southwest by Romania and Moldova and finally on the west by Hungary, Slovakia and Poland. Ukrainian land mass equates to approximately twice the size of Italy.

Quite surprisingly, the climate of Ukraine is temperate continental and in the southern parts of the Crimea, it is subtropical Mediterranean, often in the high 20's and low 30's during the peak season. Ukraine also experiences cold - and sometimes long - winters with temperatures often falling to -20 and below.
